Friday was the final day at Lacor and it could not have ended better. Overall the MMF team was able to perform 37 surgeries, 38 consults and assisted in 18 other surgeries. Harriet, the woman whose lip was cut off by rebels, underwent a successful operation and is “very, very happy!” with the results. Dr. Jeff completed her surgery in 30 minutes and completely transformed her face. Throughout the week the general clinic team cared for over 700 individuals with Malaria, skin conditions and other diseases. Ryan, Kansas City Kansas firefighter, presented fire prevention techniques to over 2,000 students this week. All remarkable numbers for such a short amount of time. Our presence was definitely felt, and we made a lasting impacting on many, many lives. Father Tony invited us to his Ocer School Friday evening for a program performed by his students including traditional songs and dances. We finished the night in high spirits and satisfied with a job well done.

Alleluia! I know you made a lasting impression and I am so glad you were able to rejoice at Ocer with Father Tony and those great students. I will be praying for all of you that you get some sleep on those flights.
Bless you all, Mary
